EV CHARGER INSTALLATION

Level 2 EV charging, installed and inspected in a day

Skip the charging station line. We install Level 2 chargers that add up to 40 miles of range per hour, wired properly to your panel, permitted, inspected, and routed so the garage still looks like a garage.

What we sort out before we quote

Whether your panel has the spare capacity for a 40 or 60-amp circuit
The run distance from panel to parking spot, which drives most of the cost
Hardwired or plug-in, and which your charger and inspector prefer
Indoor, garage, or exterior-rated placement
Whether a load management device beats a panel upgrade for your house
Duke Energy program eligibility for your setup

What's included

Load calculation on your existing service
Dedicated 240V circuit and breaker
Hardwired or NEMA 14-50 outlet, your choice where code allows

HOW IT GOES

The process, start to finish

01

Panel check and quote

We run a load calculation on your existing service, measure the run, and quote a firm number. If your panel cannot carry it, we say so up front rather than discovering it on install day.

02

Permit

Pulled with your county before we start. An unpermitted charger install is a problem at resale and a problem with your insurer.

03

Install

Dedicated circuit, proper conduit, mounted at a height that fits your cable and your car. Most installs are done in a single day.

04

Inspection and handover

The county inspects, we walk you through the charger app and amperage settings, and you plug in that night.

PRICING

What an EV charger install costs

Most Charlotte installs run $650–$1,800. The number depends on the distance from your panel and whether your panel has spare capacity. A short run to a panel in the garage sits at the bottom of that range; a long run to a detached garage with a panel that needs work sits above it. We give you a firm written quote before any work starts.

QUESTIONS

EV Charger Installation questions

All of the mainstream ones — Tesla Wall Connector, ChargePoint, Emporia, Wallbox, Grizzl-E, and the units carmakers ship with the vehicle. Buy your own or we will supply it.
Often no. Plenty of homes have the capacity already, and where they are close, a load management device can be a few hundred dollars against a few thousand for a panel. We check before recommending the expensive path.
Yes. It usually means a trenched run and sometimes a subpanel out there, which we will price separately so you can see exactly what the distance is costing.
Yes. It is a new 240V circuit. Unpermitted work shows up at resale, and an unpermitted electrical fire is a conversation you do not want to have with your insurer.
