What rewiring costs
A partial rewire targeting specific problem circuits typically runs $1,800–$6,000. A whole-home rewire is a much larger project, generally $8,000–$20,000 depending on square footage, how many stories, and whether there is attic and crawlspace access. We scope it in person and put the number in writing. Single circuits and subpanels are smaller jobs: a 50-amp hot tub or spa circuit from an existing panel runs $600–$1,200, a 60- to 100-amp garage or workshop subpanel with dedicated circuits $1,200–$2,800, and a dock feeder with ground-fault protection plus a boat-lift circuit $1,800–$4,500.
